2007 SHARP Youth Prevention Needs Assessment
This report summarizes the findings from the Utah 2007 Prevention Needs Assessment Survey that was conducted as part of the Student Health and Risk Prevention (SHARP) Statewide Survey. The survey was administered to students in grades 6, 8, 10, and 12 in 38 school districts across Utah. The survey was designed to assess adolescent substance use, anti-social behavior, and the risk and protective factors that predict these adolescent problem behaviors.
New to the 2007 survey are use rates of methamphetamine, prescription drug abuse, steroids abuse, and gambling.
